Tournament Waiver

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being allowed to participate in VizCup 2026 Six-a-Side Indoor Cricket League Tournament ("the Tournament"), the undersigned coach/manager, on behalf of themselves and all team members, acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. Nature of Activity

I understand that cricket is a physical sport that involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, injuries from balls, bats, collisions with other players or equipment, and physical exertion. These risks may result in serious injury including broken bones, head injuries, sprains, and in extreme cases, permanent disability or death.

2. Voluntary Participation

I acknowledge that participation in the Tournament is voluntary and that all team members are participating at their own risk. Each participant has been given the opportunity to ask questions regarding the Tournament and has received satisfactory answers.

3. Physical Condition

I certify that all team members are in good physical condition and have no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation in the Tournament. Each participant has obtained any necessary medical clearances.

4. Release of Liability

I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue VizCup, Viz369, their organizers, sponsors, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, venue owners, and all other persons or entities associated with the Tournament (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or expense that any team member may suffer or that may accrue to any team member, arising out of participation in the Tournament, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

5. Medical Treatment

I authorize the Tournament organizers to obtain or provide emergency medical care for any team member if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for all costs associated with medical care and treatment. I agree to provide proof of adequate health insurance coverage for all team members.

6. Use of Likeness

I grant permission to VizCup and its representatives to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture the team's and individual players' participation in the Tournament. I consent to the use of such media for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes without compensation.

7. Equipment and Safety

I acknowledge that the Tournament organizers have recommended the use of appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to helmets, pads, and gloves. I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure all team members have and use appropriate protective equipment.

8. Rules and Conduct

I agree that all team members will abide by the Tournament rules, the instructions of Tournament officials, and maintain appropriate conduct throughout the Tournament. I understand that violation of rules or inappropriate conduct may result in immediate disqualification without refund.

9. COVID-19 and Communicable Diseases

I acknowledge the contagious nature of communicable diseases including COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that team members may be exposed to or infected by such diseases by participating in the Tournament. I verify that no team member is experiencing symptoms of illness and will notify organizers immediately if any symptoms develop.

10. Parental/Guardian Consent

As the team coach/manager, I certify that I have obtained proper parental or guardian consent for all minor participants (under 18 years of age). I confirm that parents/ guardians understand and agree to the terms of this waiver on behalf of their children.

11. Insurance

I understand that VizCup does not provide insurance coverage for participants. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to obtain adequate health and accident insurance for all team members.

12. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities arising out of, connected with, or resulting from the team's participation in the Tournament, including those resulting from the actions of team members.

13. Severability

I understand that if any portion of this waiver is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.

14. Governing Law

This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Forsyth County, Georgia.

15. Acknowledgment of Understanding

I have read this waiver of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing the agreement freely and voluntarily on behalf of myself and all team members, and intend my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
